Windows are used as substrates for transmission applications, such as laser windows, beamsplitters, beam combiners, mirrors, dichroic filters and plate polarizers. Our standard substrates have laser grade polishing on both surfaces.
Considerations in selecting window substrates include transmission range, absorption coefficient, incident laser power density and environmental factors such as pressure, temperature, moisture, abrasion and corrosion. Round, square, and rectangular windows are available in a wide range of size and shape specifications. Under customer request dielectric or metallic coatings can applied.
Sherlan Optics offers optical windows in a wide variety of materials from UV to IR.
